City to Be Sided With Disabled People

Jakarta Provincial Government is committed to be sided with disabled people.

We want to involve disabled people and its organization in planning for five years later

Jakarta Vice Governor, Sandiaga Uno stated, his side wants to add disabled people empowering program in City's Medium Term Development Plan (RPJMD) to realize its commitment. This policy is applied for the first time.

"All access, all policies should consider disabled people existence," he said after receiving disabled people organizations, City Hall, Thursday (1/25).

According to him, active role of stakeholders with disabilities also needs to be involved in planning.

"We want to involve disabled people and its organization in planning for five years later," he added.

For information, in this meeting, each disabled organizations representatives have conveyed their opinions. They want to have equal rights with other citizens.

They want Jakarta Provincial Government to facilitate and give disabled people a chance to enhance their skills, independence, and welfare.
